The Storm Lake School Community District held its regularly scheduled board meeting yesterday to discuss a variety of topics. Early Elementary Principal Michael Sullivan highlighted the three goals they had coming into this school year: a cultural climate, instructional, and leadership.
Sullivan explained that the school really did its best to help families feel welcomed again after the pandemic. He also talked about the hope of continuing the three subgroups that the school currently has.
Sullivan says that they created what they call “ILTs” or their Instructional Leadership Team. The purpose was to learn how to coach conversation in collaboration in order to be more open-minded to having meaningful conversations. Sullivan shared his thoughts on the school year as it comes to a close.
New leadership, as Sullivan was referencing, will be coming in due to his resignation at the end of this school year.
