Storm Lake falls to 1A #8 West Sioux in boys soccer action

The Storm Lake Tornado Boys Soccer team fell to 1A #8 West Sioux Falcons 2-0

The teams would lock into a defensive battle for the first 30 minutes of the game. The Falcons would capitalize on a handball in the box, the PK was converted by Oscar Robles (10th of the season) to give the Falcons the 1-0 lead with 9:04 to go in the half. The teams would go to the half with the Falcons leading 1-0. The second half would see the game get feisty as the Falcons would get called for two yellow cards and a red card and the Tornadoes would get tagged with a yellow card in the half. The red card was called against the Falcons with 30:21 to go in the game, so the Tornadoes would play up a man over that time. The Falcons would find a shorthanded goal when Jonathon Flores connected on his 11th of the season to give the Falcons the 2-0 lead. The Falcons would control the game and go on to win 2-0

The loss drops the Tornadoes to 5-6, and the win improves the Falcons to 9-2. UP NEXT: Storm Lake is at BHRV on Thursday night. The Tornado Girls game hosting BHRV will be broadcast Thursday night on KAYL
