Sioux Central Girls Basketball Wins 11th Straight; East Sac Boys Triumphant on Senior Night

The #4 in 2A Sioux Central girls never trailed in their 70-24 win over East Sac County Friday in Sac City.

The Rebels broke out to a 14-0 lead, and led 29-12 at halftime. Sioux Central went on an 18-0 run in the 3rd quarter.

Bradi Krager led Sioux Central with 22 points, and hit four of the Rebels eight threes. Avery Wilson had 21 points and Morgan Christian had 14. They each hit two from downtown. McKenna Steiger topped the Raiders with 10 points. Sioux Central is now 14-1 overall and 6-1 in the Twin Lakes Conference. East Sac goes to 6-11, 4-7.

Krager and Christian talked afterward…

The East Sac boys scored the first 11 points on their way to a 71-46 win over Sioux Central.

The Rebels pulled within five early in the 2nd quarter, but East Sac ended the 1st half on a 7-0 run capped by a basket by Caleb Eichorn to take a 34-20 lead at the half. East Sac led by as many as 32 in the 2nd half.

Four Raiders scored in double figures including Ryan Clair with 22, Sam Julin scored 15 on five threes, Caleb Eichorn had 13, and Karter Ludwig added 10. Jack Christian tallied 12 points for Sioux Central and Jaylen Champ had 10. East Sac ups their mark to 12-3, 8-2 TLC, while Sioux Central sits at 4-9, 3-5.

The East Sac teams are playing again tonight (Sat) at GT-RA.

The Sioux Central teams have makeup games Monday at Southeast Valley.
