A Storm Lake business received an award as part of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation’s 13th annual Business Recognition Luncheon.
Merrill Manufacturing of Storm Lake received the Large Business Excellence Award.
The event was held on Wednesday at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. Nominations for the various award categories are made by area business leaders and community members. The nominations are then reviewed by a volunteer committee drawn from across the region and are evaluated based on commitment, impact, and growth in Corridor communities.
Over 200 community representatives and leaders were on hand for the event. The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is the regional economic development agency for Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, and Emmet counties.
