Coach Val Rosenthal said, “Paw Taw played well and made it close in both of the sets. The doubles team of Jaslyn Saegchanpheng and Kristina Yang won their first round against Lausen and Pytleski of Estherville 6-4, 6-3. Their second round was against a tough team from Heelan. They had a slow start in the first set, losing 0-6 but battled back in the second set winning 7-5. They came up just short in the 3rd set tiebreaker losing 8-10. All the girls represented Storm Lake well both on and off the court all season. They played with a positive attitude and a competitive spirit”. Next up is a team regional event. On Friday, May 10, Storm Lake will play Spirit Lake in the first round at Spencer.
