A man with previous domestic assault convictions in Buena Vista County was arrested early Tuesday morning following an incident in Storm Lake.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, officers were called to a domestic dispute at the residence in the 200 block of Highway Street in Storm Lake at approximately 4am Tuesday. A female alleged that the man, identified as 29-year-old Jose Juarez Recinos of Storm Lake, assaulted her on two separate occasions at the residence on December 7th and December 29th of this past year. He reportedly grabbed the female by the neck, preventing her from breathing. The victim reported that Juarez Recinos threatened to kill her if the incidents were reported to police.
Juarez Recinos allegedly has two prior convictions in BV County for Domestic Assault.
Following the latest incident, Juarez Recinos was charged with two counts of 3rd Offense Domestic Abuse Assault, a class D felony…and Child Endangerment and 1st Degree Harassment, both aggravated misdemeanors. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and was held without bond.
