St. Mary’s Announces Ball and Charity Auction Theme

Storm Lake St. Mary’s has announced the theme for this year’s Ball and Charity Auction.

The theme of “Slainte : Good Health, Good Friends, and Good Faith” is a nod to St. Mary’s School’s 110th birthday, and the Irish Catholic nuns that founded St. Mary’s.

The Ball and Charity Auction will be held on Saturday, March 11th in the Siebens Forum at Buena Vista University. There will be a 4pm mass, pre-party starts at 5pm, ballroom doors open at 5:45, and dinner at 7pm. Entertainment will be provided by Something Blu after the live auction ends.

General admission tickets cost 75-dollars. Pre-party tickets cost 125-dollars, which include a ticket to the main event.

The Big Raffle is being held again this year, which includes a chance to win the grand prize of five-thousand dollars, as well as four chances to win one-thousand dollars, and four chances to win 500-dollars. Big Raffle tickets purchased before January 31st will have two additional chances to win two-thousand dollars. Big Raffle tickets can be purchased online, at the St. Mary’s Parish Office, or from one of several Big Raffle ticket sellers.

Proceeds from the ball benefit St. Mary’s in a variety of ways. Last year’s event generated almost 422-thousand dollars.
