The City of Storm Lake has modified the Snow Emergency that was issued earlier in the week.
The Snow Emergency and parking restrictions for residential areas have been lifted. The Snow Emergency and parking restrictions will continue for the central business district through 6am this coming Sunday, January 22nd.
During the remainder of the Snow Emergency, parking is not allowed on streets in the central business district of Storm Lake from 2am to 6am. Parking also isn’t allowed in downtown public parking lots designated as Lot B and Lot D. Vehicles found to be in violation of the City’s snow policy may be ticketed and/or towed.
During a Snow Emergency, overnight parking IS allowed in downtown public parking lots designated as Lot A and Lot C.
