Some changes in speed limits are a step closer to happening in portions of Spencer.
The City Council on Monday held the first reading of some ordinance revisions that would allow the reductions. Spencer Police Chief Mark Warburton says its based on recommendations from a speed survey that was done in the affected areas, including near the Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School…(audio clip below)
The revisions still need to go through second and third readings before being considered for final adoption by the Spencer City Council.
