The Storm Lake RAGBRAI committee is looking for local support to help make the bike ride’s overnight stop in the community a success this summer.
Storm Lake Mayor and RAGBRAI Advisory Board Chair Mike Porsch and local RAGBRAI Advisory Board Executive Chair Carl Turner have compiled several ways that citizens can get involved, which include volunteering for the event. With upwards of 25-thousand riders expected, along with support teams and visitors, plenty of help is needed. Sign up to volunteer in any of a number of different areas at www.ragbraistormlake.com.
Other ways to support RAGBRAI in Storm Lake include buying merchandise, hosting riders, selling food and other items, and providing entertainment. More details on all of that is also available on the Storm Lake RAGBRAI website.
Financial donations of any size are also welcome to help cover costs, which is projected at 250-thousand dollars.
