King’s Pointe Honored for Recently Received Awards

The King’s Pointe Waterpark Resort was recognized at Monday’s Storm Lake City Council meeting for receiving two different awards.

Late last year, King’s Pointe won the 2022 Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Large Business Excellence Award, and last month they were given the 2023 Iowa Tourism Award for Outstanding Lodging in a Metro Area for communities with a population of ten-thousand and above.

Storm Lake Mayor Mike Porsch mentioned one of the comments that was made at the Iowa Tourism Awards…(audio clip below :21 )

The Iowa Tourism Awards nomination cited King’s Pointe for its role in establishing the new Storm Lake celebration “Kids Fest” last year.

Several improvements are planned for King’s Pointe including a complete update and refurbishment of the indoor and outdoor water parks, updating the event and banquet facilities, and remodeling all guest rooms.
