Buena Vista County Adopts Statewide DMV Appointment System

Buena Vista County is joining the Iowa Department of Transportation in rolling out a new online appointment system aimed at improving access to driver and vehicle services across the state.

The statewide scheduling platform is designed to simplify the process for the millions of Iowans who use DMV services each year. Through a single website, residents can now:

  • Schedule appointments for any service type at DOT service centers and participating county offices
  • Select their service type first to be directed to the correct location with available times
  • Receive automated email or text reminders
  • Check in by mobile device or kiosk (where available)
  • Reschedule or cancel appointments online

Danelle Haberman, Buena Vista County Treasurer, said the system is intended to make visits more predictable and efficient.

“Providing a great experience for our residents is always our top priority. This statewide scheduling system makes it easier for people to plan their visit, know what to expect, and get the service they need. It’s a big step forward in how we serve Iowans every day,” Haberman said.

She added that the project will bring consistency to DMV services statewide.
