On-Air Personalities
Born and raised in Park City, Montana. Graduated high school in 1981 and was the State Public Speaking winner in FFA, so while at the National FFA Convention my FFA advisor suggested radio as a career path - the rest is history.
I've done radio in 9 different states, while also doing play by play broadcasting for sports for 27 years in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota. So far, I am loving Storm Lake and Storm Lake Radio! My daughter Jenikah also moved with me and works part time here. I also have a Yorkie named Ziggy that runs the household!
Catch Terry on 92.9 The Moose - KKIA from 6am - 10am Monday-Friday!

Boeckman, whose broadcasting career spans five decades, has been the sports director for Storm Lake Radio since 1991 and has also served as the morning man on Mix 101.7 since 1994.Β When he's not at work he can be found watching a game somewhere or playing a round of golf.
Catch Chris and Sandy on Mix 101.7 - KAYL from 6am - 10am Monday-Friday!

Sandy Robinson has been a part of Storm Lake Radio in many ways since 1995! She grew up in Storm Lake, graduating from St. Mary's in 1987. She attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Sandy has 3 children: Quinten, Kelsey and Kylie, and a grandson Zeke; and is married to Marc Hesley. Sandy's interests include shopping, singing, theatre, severe weather, history, reading, and the Green Bay Packers.. Go Pack Go!
Catch Sandy weekday mornings from 6am-10am during the Morning Show with Chris & Sandy, and during Retro Vibes from 11am-12pm, playing your favorites from the 1970s!

Hey, Iβm Kirkβthough around here, they call me "The Captain." Not because I can steer a ship (Iβve seen Titanic too many times for that), but because I steer your afternoons in the right directionβmusic up, stress down.
At 26, Iβm just a guy who turned a love for music, bad puns, and talking way too much into a career. Born and raised in Schaller, Iowa. I have a vast array of interest including farming, photography, substitute teaching, and Storm Chasing.
I grew up singing karaoke, blasting music, mimicking other DJs, and wondering if I could ever get paid to do this kind of thing. Spoiler: I can! And now youβre stuck with me! At the young age of 7, I opened my own DJ business and have been operating it ever since.
Besides my On-Air Talent, I also have several other irons in the fire, which makes for very few moments of downtime, but I wouldnβt have it any other way!
On Afternoons with the CAPTAIN, youβll hear the best Mix from the 80s to 2010, ridiculous stories, local shoutouts, and the occasional sound of me laughing at my own jokes (someone has to). Whether youβre driving home, working late, or just trying to survive the last part of the dayβI'm your guy.
Got a request? A weird fact? A song you pretend not to love but secretly do? Bring it on. Iβm here for it.
