A Palmer man is facing multiple charges after the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic assault report Sunday afternoon.
Deputies were called on Aug. 23 to a residence at 736 Henrietta Ave. in Palmer, where an investigation led to the arrest of Joshua Peters.
According to the sheriff’s office, Peters was charged with domestic assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, third or subsequent offense, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Pocahontas County Jail.
The Pocahontas Ambulance Service and Pocahontas Police Department assisted at the scene.
