City of Fonda Under Boil Advisory

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has issued a boil order for the City of Fonda.

The boil advisory went into effect at 1pm today (Thur). A loss of positive pressure on the city distribution system has caused water pressure to drop. The DNR says that when the pressure drops, the chances rise for contamination to enter the system.

Fonda residents are asked to boil tap water before it’s used for drinking or cooking. The boil order will be lifted after the work is complete, and the water supply is clear of any possible contamination.
