100 People Who Care Sac County Donates to Howard Center Window Project

The latest round of giving from 100 People Who Care Sac County will support facility upgrades at the Howard Center. Members voted on April 12 to direct more than $4,200 toward the center’s window‑replacement project.

The donation continues the group’s mission of supporting nonprofits and community organizations throughout Sac County. Since its founding, the organization has contributed to a wide range of local projects, including fire departments, libraries, veterans groups, nutrition programs, youth organizations, historical societies, and multiple community improvement efforts.

At each quarterly meeting, members nominate potential recipients, three are selected at random to present, and the group votes on which project will receive that quarter’s pooled contributions. Each member commits to donating $100 per meeting, with individuals or teams eligible to participate.

The next meeting of 100 People Who Care Sac County is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the Early United Methodist Church. Community members interested in learning more about the group or becoming involved are encouraged to attend.
