Final Storm Lake Legislative Forum Set for Saturday; Time Moved to 1 p.m.

The third and final Storm Lake Legislative Forum of the current Iowa legislative session will take place Saturday at the Sunrise Pointe Golf Course clubhouse — with a new start time of 1 p.m. due to a scheduling conflict.

The forums, sponsored by the City of Storm Lake, are free and open to the public. Residents are invited to attend and bring questions or concerns directly to area lawmakers.

The events are typically attended by State Representative Megan Jones (R-Sioux Rapids) and State Senator Lynn Evans (R-Aurelia), who provide updates on legislative activity and take questions on issues affecting Storm Lake and Buena Vista County.

Saturday’s forum will conclude this year’s series of community conversations as lawmakers approach the final stretch of the 2026 session.
