Two Charged Following Spencer Robbery Investigation

Two individuals have been charged following an investigation into a robbery incident in Spencer.

According to the Spencer Police Department, search warrants were executed on two different apartment units this (Fri) morning in response to an armed robbery that took place on February 27th in the 600 block of East 19th Street. The victim reported to police that a male suspect held him at gunpoint while he was in a parked motor vehicle. The suspect assaulted the victim, and then took an undetermined amount of cash.

22-year-old Darrious Green of Spencer (pictured on left) was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Robbery, a class B felony…as well as Interference With Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury…1st Offense Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

20-year-old Taron Green of Spencer (pictured right) was charged with Interference With Official Acts…1st Offense Possession of Marijuana…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Darrious Green was booked into the Clay County Jail on a 26 thousand dollar bond. Taron Green was booked on a one-thousand dollar bond.

The Spencer Police Department was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
