Storm Lake Man Charged for Huffing Air Canisters in Walmart

A Storm Lake man was arrested this past weekend for allegedly huffing air canisters in the local Walmart store.

Storm Lake police officers were called to the store around 8pm Sunday. When officers arrived, they made contact with a man identified as 26-year-old Alfredo Inzunza. Police allege that Inzunza had taken compressed air canisters from the shelves, and then locked himself into a dressing room within Walmart, where he began huffing the canisters.

Inzunza allegedly became violent and threatened officers when they attempted to stop him from huffing the canisters. Inzunza physically resisted officers when they attempted to take him into custody. Police then used a taser device, and Inzunza was ultimately subdued and taken into custody.

Inzunza was charged with Interference With Official Acts, 5th Degree Theft, Trespassing, and Huffing, all simple misdemeanors. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a nine-hundred dollar bond.
