A meeting is coming up in Storm Lake to discuss broadband and digital equity issues.
The meeting, hosted by the U.S. Office of the Chief Information Officer, will be held on Monday, April 24th at 6pm at the Storm Lake Middle School. Attendees will hear a short presentation on digital services, followed by a discussion with the audience on the barriers and potential solutions for full participation in the digital aspects of society.
A Storm Lake Community School District news release says Storm Lake is one of 55 stops on the public meeting roadshow, and it will be the first time many Iowans will be introduced to some of these concepts. The OCIO is looking forward to hearing from citizens about what they and their communities need most in negotiating issues in the digital space.
The Office of the Chief Information Officer is part of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
