Pocahontas County’s Movall Inducted into Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame

A Pocahontas County resident was recently inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame.

Larry Movall was enshrined as a member of the 2022 class during a ceremony at the 4-H Exhibits Building at the Iowa State Fair on August 21st. 98 counties participated this year, and a total of 133 inductees were selected for their outstanding service and dedication to 4-H.

Movall was a 4-H leader of the Bellville Boosters in Pocahontas County for 15 years. He served on the Pocahontas County Youth Committee for ten years after he was a 4-H leader. Movall was also a member of the Pocahontas County Fair Board for ten years.

The Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame was initiated in 2002.
