Nominations are now being accepted for the Storm Lake Star Spangled Spectacular’s Big Parade Grand Marshal.
The Spectacular’s committee will use a three-question nomination form to choose the Parade leader based on volunteering experience, leadership, and goals that further enhance the Storm Lake area. Nominees should have a track record of acting as a positive influence in the community through volunteer work, leadership in community programs, or having gone above and beyond the call of duty and dedicating countless hours of service. There is no age limit for nominees.
Grand Marshal nomination forms are due by May 1st at the Storm Lake United office, or by emailing stormlakestarspangled@gmail.com. Forms can be picked up at the SLU office, or can be downloaded at www.starspangledspectacular.net.
The 2024 Star Spangled Spectacular theme is “Light Up The Sky on the 4th of July.” The committee will take the theme into consideration for the Grand Marshal selection. The winner will be announced in early June.
The Spectacular’s Big Parade begins at 10:30am on July 4th.
