Iowans are invited to nominate individuals or families in their community for the 2023 Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Awards.

To be eligible for the award, farmers and landowners must invest in conservation and water quality practices, and incorporate best management practices into their farming operations to improve and protect the state’s natural resources. Awardees must also actively serve as leaders in the Iowa agriculture community.

Nominations will be accepted through May 1st. The nomination form can be found by clicking here. The nominations will be reviewed, and the winners will be selected by an appointed committee representing conservation and agricultural groups. The winners will be recognized during an awards ceremony on August 16th at the Iowa State Fair.

The Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Awards began in 2012. Since then, a total of 738 farm families have been recognized.
