More Teens Charged in Connection to Series of Garage/Vehicle Burglaries in Storm Lake

Several more arrests have been made in connection to a string of garage and vehicle burglaries in Storm Lake.

This past Monday, February 12th, Storm Lake Police were notified of additional burglaries in the 800 block of Harmony Court, a burglary to a vehicle in the 15 hundred block of Sugar Creek Lane, as well as damage intentionally caused to a garage door in the 700 block of Lilly Court. All of those incidents occurred late in the evening this past Sunday and into the early morning hours on Monday in the same neighborhood.

Six males were identified and charged including a 16-year-old male from Storm Lake and a 17-year-old male from Storm Lake. Both were charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, a class D felony. They were released to an adult family member pending an appearance in juvenile court. Another 16-year-old male was charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, as well as Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was released to a family member pending an appearance in juvenile court.

Three others, Edgar McMillan, Tristen Ehbel, and Marson Peter, all 18 and from Storm Lake, were charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, a class D felony. McMillan and Peter were booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on five-thousand dollar bonds, and Ehbel was booked on a 56 hundred dollar bond.

A 15-year-old male from Storm Lake was charged earlier in the week in connection to the incidents.

Police encourage any additional victims residing in the area of Lilly Court, Chloe Lane, or Sugar Creek Lane to contact the Storm Lake Police at 712-732-8010 if they notice any items missing from their residence and/or vehicle around the night of February 11th.
