Hy-Vee Recalling Mealtime Beef Pot Roast Dinners Due to Wheat Allergen

Hy-Vee is voluntarily recalling two varieties of its Hy-Vee Mealtime Beef Pot Roast Dinners due to undeclared wheat allergen.

The recalled products include the Hy-Vee 11.6 ounce beef pot roast dinner with mashed potatoes and corn for five-dollars…and the 25.5 ounce beef pot roast dinner with mashed potatoes and carrots for ten-dollars.

According to a news release, Hy-Vee was made aware that the gravy mix used in the meals produced between December 26th 2022 and January 17th 2023 contains a wheat allergen that wasn’t listed on the ingredients label. The entrees were distributed to Hy-Vee grocery stores, fast and fresh stores, and dollar market stores across its eight-state region. The meals come in either a small or medium plastic container with a clear lid, and were available for purchase between December 27th 2022, and January 17th 2023.

The news release says there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products. Hy-Vee has voluntarily removed all affected Mealtime Beef Pot Roast Dinner entrees from its shelves. Customers who purchased the product, and have a wheat sensitivity, should dispose of the product, or return it to their local Hy-Vee store for a full refund.
