The Buena Vista County Conservation Board has rescheduled a kickoff meeting for interested parties to discuss the needs and goals for a public shooting range in BV County.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 19th at 6pm at the County Engineers Office at 526 Radio Road in Storm Lake. The meeting was originally scheduled for last month, but was postponed due to the weather.
A news release from the BV Conservation Board states that there is a need for a universal shooting complex that teams can practice at and hold competitions with other schools. This stems from the growing popularity of youth shooting sports among high school students in the county, and the need was recently increased with the addition of a collegiate shooting sports team at Buena Vista University.
