Tornadoes Oust Raiders In Season Opener For Both

Storm Lake scored 43 first half points in their 58-24 win over visiting East Sac County Friday night at Tornado Fieldhouse.

Adeeya Yanga scored a game high 16 points to lead the Tornadoes who took advantage of their size and length in the paint not only scoring but also outrebounding the Raiders 28-14 in the game. The Tornadoes went on a 15-0 run in the first quarter to build a 19-7 lead and then started the 2nd quarter with a 14-0 run and eventually led 43-11 at the break.

Audrey Kosky and Grace Kenkel scored nine points each, Maddy Raveling had eight, and Avery DeHaan and Abby Bodholdt both scored seven.

Makenna Steiger led the Raiders with 13 points. The Raiders will play again November 28th at Woodbury Central.
