The Storm Lake girls basketball team used a great inside-outside game and in the process picked up their second win of the season Tuesday night defeating South Central Calhoun 76-45 at Tornado Fieldhouse.
Adeeya Yanga made 13 of her 17 shots and scored 14 of her game high 28 points in the first quarter. Avery DeHaan made 5-of-6 from the arc and dropped in 20 points and Maddy Raveling was 3-for-3 from downtown and added 16 points. The Tornadoes shot 49-percent from the floor and were 8-for-16 from three point range.
The Titans were led in scoring by Blair Schleisman’s 15 points. It was the season opener for the Titans who will host South Hamilton next Tuesday.
Storm Lake, now 2-0, will host Sioux City-North next Tuesday, that will be a varsity double-header starting at 6pm.
