Tornado Girls Basketball Season Comes To An End

Melina Snoozy scored 23 of her game high 26 points in the first half and Bishop Heelan beat Storm Lake 72-47 Saturday night in a class 4A regional semifinal game played in Sioux City.

Abby Lee added 18 points and Brooklyn Stanley chipped in with 16 helping the 3rd ranked Crusaders improve to 21-1 and put them one win away from the state tournament.

Snoozy and Lee combined to go 15-for-22 from the floor in the first half helping Bishop Heelan build a 45-16 lead at the half.

Avery DeHaan scored 14 of her team high 16 points in the 2nd half and Adeeya Yanga added 13 points to lead the Tornadoes in scoring.

Storm Lake concludes their best season in 14 years with a 14-8 record and after the game we spoke with coach Nate Reichter.
