The Storm Lake tennis teams were swept by Cherokee. The girls lost 7-2 and the boys were defeated 5-4. Singles winners for the Tornado girls were Kazoa Vang and Kristina Yang. Singles winners for the boys were Josh Steffen, Owen Stansberry, and Joey Rice. Stansberry and Rice won their doubles match.
The Tornado soccer teams were swept at Western Christian. The girls score was 5-0 and the boys lost 3-0.
The Storm Lake boys golf team hosted Spirit Lake at the BVU golf course at Lake Creek. The Indians won the dual by three strokes 171-174. For the Tornadoes, Charlie Dvergsten was runner up medalist with a 41, Carson Lullmann shot a 43, Jake Eddie and Cam Boyd 45’s, Brody Boeckman 47, and Jayden Butler 61.
The Tornado girls golf team played Spirit Lake at Okoboji View and shot a 218 and lost the dual by 13 shots. Maddy Raveling (pictured below) was the medalist with a 49. Other scores for the Tornadoes were Audrey Kosky and Hannah Taylor with 55’s, Amy Slight and Kennadie Miller both shot 59’s.
