With a pair of wins Thursday night on their home court the Newell-Fonda volleyball team laid claim to this year’s Twin Lakes Conference championship. The Mustangs beat South Central Calhoun in four sets (24-26, 25-11, 25-19, 26-24) and then completed the night with a sweep of Sioux Central (25-14, 25-10, 26-24). The Mustangs run the table in the conference going 12-0 and will bring a 27-4 overall record into the 1A tournament next week.
