#6 Harlan defeated OA-BCIG 67-19 Saturday night in a girls basketball 3A region quarterfinal.
The Cyclones had a 22-0 lead after the 1st quarter led by Molly Swensen’s 17 in the quarter which includes five three-pointers. Swenson finished with 20 points. Harlan led 33-5 at the half, and the continuous clock started with 5:09 to go in the 3rd.
Chloe Murphy had a pair of threes for the Falcons, and seniors Abby Winterrowd and Karter Hemer each had one. OA-BCIG finishes 2-18.
Harlan (18-3) will host Clarinda in a region semifinal Wednesday night.
