East Sac County Soccer teams swept at Panorama

–The East Sac County Raider soccer teams fell on the road against the Panorama Panthers, the Raider Girls fell to 1A #14 Panthers 8-1 while the Raider boys fell in an offensive battle to the Panthers 5-4

–The girls’ game saw the Panorama Panthers strike in the first five minutes when Morgan Crees connected on her eighth goal of the season to give the Panthers the early 1-0 lead. After Crees tallied another goal it was Mia Waddle would connect on a PK shot to make it 3-0. The Panthers would score two more goals before the half to lead 5-0. The second half saw 12 scoreless minutes of soccer, then Panorama would once again get in the flow with 3 goals to make it 8-0 with 15 minutes to go. Kenna Meyer would find the back of the net on her third goal of the season to make it 8-1, which would be the final score.

The loss drops the Raiders to 1-1, the win improves the #14 Panthers to 3-0. Up next the Raiders will host Oakland-Riverside Monday evening in Wall Lake.

–The boys’ game saw the Raider jump out to a 1-0 lead after Isaiah Aragon found the back of the net. The Panthers had the answer when they scored two goals over a 16-minute span when Bratlon Dawes and Cruz Crandall scored to lead 2-1. Once again the Raiders would have the answer when Aragon tallied his second to tie the game at 2 with 5 minutes to go in the half. The Panthers would find a late tally in the final minute of the half when Louis Czwalinna scored to give the Panthers the 3-2 lead at the break. The second half once again saw the Raiders score in the first ten minutes with a brilliant header from Brendyn Conn to tie the game at 3. The teams would play at 3-3 for 16 minutes, with back-and-forth flow. The Panthers would collect a strike from Czwalinna for his second goal for a 4-3 Panther lead. The Panthers would find another tally with under five minutes to go when Dawes added his second to extend the Panthers lead to 5-3. The Raiders would not go out without a fight when Aragon went for his third goal of the game when he connected on the PK, to cut the lead to 5-4. The Raiders would have a stout push in the final 3 minutes but would fall short.

The Panthers improve to 1-1, while the Raiders fall to 1-1. Up next the Raiders play Oakland-Riverside Monday Night in Wall Lake. Raider Stats: Isaiah Aragon with 3 goals (now 6 on the season) and 1 assist (now 4 on the season), and Conn had one goal (now 2 on the season).
