Two Sioux City Elementary Schools Conduct Lockouts After Reports of a Suicidal Man

Two Sioux City Elementary Schools were issued lockouts Wednesday afternoon after reports of a intoxicated suicidal man was found driving near the vicinity. The two schools were Loess Hills and Liberty Elementary.

The Sioux City Police Department responded to a call near Loess Hills Elementary school where a man was driving around the area and parked in the school’s parking lot.

The man was identified as 47-year-old Brandon Holloway and was taken into custody without incident. The police did locate a gun in the vehicle.

Holloway is being charged with operating while intoxicated, possessing a dangerous weapon while under the influence and carrying weapons on school grounds. There were no students or school staff that were targeted by Holloway, according to the Sioux City Police.
