Sioux Rapids Hometown Pride is bringing back its Shine & Show Car Show during Tall Corn Days, offering a full day of classic cars, community activities and fundraising for local improvement projects.
The event runs from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, on Front Street, with vehicle registration open until noon and awards, raffle prizes and a Tire Roll Competition scheduled throughout the late morning and early afternoon.
All proceeds will support Sioux Rapids Hometown Pride, which invests in community amenities and long‑term projects across the city.
Braxlyn Tea Co. will be on site from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and will donate 30 percent of its sales to the organization. Residents will also have a chance to review and comment on draft design concepts from Sioux Rapids’ yearlong Community Visioning effort between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The event is backed by several local sponsors, including Braxlyn Tea Co., Small Batch Baking Co., Little Sioux Golf & Country Club, Wernimont Well Drilling, Hawk‑I Electric, Snook’s Carpet & Furniture, The Wagon Wheel Bar & Grill, Rembrandt Foods, Morrow Contracting, Sioux Food Center, RANCO and Arnold Motor Supply in Spencer. Organizers say additional sponsorships and donations are welcome, with all contributions supporting future community projects.

Organizers say whether residents enter a vehicle, join the Tire Roll Competition, purchase raffle tickets or simply stop by to enjoy the show, every bit of participation helps strengthen the Sioux Rapids community.
