Storm Lake Woman Arrested on Child Endangerment Charge

The Storm Lake Police Department has arrested a local woman following a child abuse investigation.

Authorities say they were notified last week of suspected abuse involving a minor in Storm Lake. Police allege the child had injuries to their arms and legs consistent with being struck by an object.

Following their investigation, officers allege the child’s parent, 28‑year‑old Reeva Julios of Storm Lake, struck the child with a stick in late November.

Julios was taken into custody without incident on Dec. 5 and charged with child endangerment causing bodily injury, a class D felony. She was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held on a $5,000 bond.

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services assisted the Storm Lake Police Department in the investigation.
