The City of Storm Lake is inviting all local volunteers to a special appreciation reception tomorrow at King’s Pointe Resort.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes a light meal. No registration is required.
Mayor Mike Porsch says the reception is a way to thank those who give their time to causes, programs, and events across Storm Lake. It’s also a chance to connect with fellow volunteers and learn more about community service opportunities.
Meanwhile, with winter approaching, the city is also hosting two public snow removal information sessions.
Residents can attend either 6-7 p.m. Thursday or 7-8 a.m. Friday. Both meetings will be held at Storm Lake City Hall, located at 620 Erie Street.
City officials will share details on snow removal strategy and policy, and welcome questions, feedback, and concerns from the public.
