Storm Lake Sets Public Input Session on E‑Bike, E‑Scooter Safety

The Storm Lake City Council is inviting residents to weigh in on the growing use of electric bicycles and scooters in the community.

City officials say the council has been reviewing safety concerns as more e‑bikes and e‑scooters appear on local trails, streets and sidewalks. The discussion includes whether new rules or safety measures may be needed as usage continues to increase.

To gather public feedback, the city will hold a community input session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 29. The meeting will take place at the Chautauqua Park shelterhouse.

Residents are encouraged to attend and share their experiences, concerns and ideas. City leaders say community input will help guide the council as it considers next steps on potential safety improvements or regulations.
