A Storm Lake man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after investigators say he secretly recorded minors inside a private bathroom.
According to the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office, 23‑year‑old Hector Alonzo Hernandez is accused of using a phone to record at least two minors and another individual while they were nude in the home where he was living. Investigators say the videos and screenshots were taken in April.
Hernandez was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail last Wednesday, June 3, on two Class B felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and three aggravated misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy. His bond was set at $10,000.
Online court records show Hernandez entered a not guilty plea on Friday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for tomorrow in Buena Vista County District Court.
