MAMA Music Extravaganza Headlines the Cobblestone Sunday

The Midwest All-Music Association is bringing the beat back to Lakeside this weekend.

MAMA’s annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Music Extravaganza takes place Sunday at the historic Cobblestone Ballroom & Event Center in Lakeside. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., with the induction ceremony at 2:30 p.m. and live performances beginning at 3:15 p.m.

This year’s honorees include Big John and Connie Pedersen of Ledyard, plus Sioux City’s Vinyl Kings, Roadhouse, and Locked N Loaded. Also recognized will be Fort Dodge’s Alpha Media Radio, singer-songwriter Heather Kelly, and studio pioneer Kirk Kaufman.

This year’s event marks the launch of the Craig Cronbaugh Drum Studies Scholarship, a $500 award for an outstanding middle school percussionist.

Founded to honor musical excellence across all genres, MAMA is a nonprofit organization focused on recognition, preservation, and education. From spotlighting legendary performers to supporting youth music programs, MAMA works to uplift both artists and the communities they come from.

Last year’s event raised $5,000 for local middle school music programs, including $1,000 donations to Storm Lake Public, Storm Lake St. Mary’s, Newell-Fonda, Sioux Central, and Alta-Aurelia.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Children ages 9 and under get in free. To purchase advance tickets, contact MAMA Vice President Dave Schossow at 712-299-3558.
