The City of Storm Lake is preparing for the upcoming winter season and will host two community meetings to discuss snow removal procedures and policies.
The city’s Public Services Department will hold the annual Snow Meetings at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, and 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15. Both meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers at Storm Lake City Hall, located at 620 Erie St.
The meetings will provide residents with information about the city’s snow removal strategy, including snow emergency procedures and parking policies. Residents will also have an opportunity to ask questions, provide input and raise concerns about snow removal operations.
Private snow removal operators are particularly encouraged to attend to learn more about coordinating with city crews during snow events.
The city says the meetings are intended to help prepare the community for the upcoming winter season and promote safe and efficient snow removal operations.
