The Storm Lake City Council this week approved the first reading of an amendment regarding mobile food and beverage vendors.

Two more readings are scheduled to be considered at the council meetings in April. If the subsequent readings pass next month, the ordinance would go into effect in May.
The council this week also approved the updated versions of Storm Lake’s volunteer and donation programs.
