A man who was wanted on a property theft charge out of Minnesota was arrested in Storm Lake on Tuesday.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, 39-year-old Freddy Mendez of Storm Lake was located at the Budget Inn Motel on North Lake Avenue around 7:30 Tuesday evening. Mendez was wanted on a valid warrant out of Douglas County, Minnesota for Felony Theft of Property valued at 35-hundred dollars.
Mendez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Buena Vista County Jail. He was booked on a one-thousand dollar bond pending extradition.
