Minor injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in Clay County when a semi-truck with a grain trailer was struck by an SUV.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at 5:35am Thursday. 71-year-old Gerald Sundall of Terril was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound in the 31 hundred mile of Highway 18. Sundall crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck a westbound 2023 Kenworth 999 with a grain trailer driven by 61-year-old Neil Hansen of Whittemore. The end of the trailer was struck.
Minor injuries were reported. The SUV was totaled, and the trailer received five thousand dollars in damage. No charges have been filed at this time.
