Man Charged With Damaging a Truck and Driving Recklessly Outside Spencer Business

A Spencer man was arrested following an alleged vandalism incident.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday received a complaint that someone had vandalized property at Pivot Point in Spencer. The suspect, 59-year-old Eric Langholz, allegedly damaged a truck by striking it with his metal water bottle several times. Damage was estimated at 25 hundred dollars. Langholz then allegedly drove recklessly through the pedestrian area and ran over a traffic cone prior to leaving the premises.

Langholz was arrested Thursday morning. He was charged with 2nd Offense Criminal Mischief, a class D felony…and Reckless Driving, a simple misdemeanor. Langholz was booked in the Clay County Jail.
