The theme has been revealed for this year’s Storm Lake Star Spangled Spectacular event.
This year’s theme is “Light Up The Sky on the 4th of July.” The theme was selected by Spectacular committee and commodores Holly Schipper and Liz Smith.
According to a news release, the Spectacular committee will take the theme into consideration as they select a Grand Marshal in the coming weeks. The theme will also be reflective in the Spectacular’s annual poster and coloring contests for elementary-aged children.
The commodores are putting an emphasis on music and children’s entertainment for the July 3rd and 4th events. The commodores are also searching for co-commodores to learn alongside them this year before taking on the lead role for 2025. This year’s Storm Lake Star Spangled Spectacular will also require additional volunteers than in prior years. Anyone interested may email the commodores as well.
