Storm Lake Man Allegedly Stole a Vehicle That Was Located in Minnesota

A Storm Lake man was arrested this week in connection to a stolen vehicle.

The Storm Lake Police Department was called to a residence in the 1000 block of Michigan Street at approximately 2:45pm Monday. Police were advised that a Ford Escape was taken from the residence the previous night. On Tuesday evening, Storm Lake Police were notified by the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Police Department that the vehicle was located.

The vehicle was allegedly being operated by 37-year-old Phouthone Lougiu. He was taken into custody by Brooklyn Center Police on probable cause of receiving stolen property, and was booked into the Hennepin County Jail pending extradition to Buena Vista County for 2nd Degree Theft, a class D felony.
