A wanted individual was arrested in Storm Lake Thursday morning.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, officers located 32-year-old Maria Cervantes Alvarez of Jackson, Minnesota at approximately 8:30am Thursday in the 600 block of Cayuga Street. Cervantes Alvarez was wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant charging her with Tampering With a Witness, a class C felony. The warrant stemmed from a report to the Storm Lake Police Department in early May that Cervantes Alvarez tampered with a victim in a pending burglary case against her in which she was initially charged in August of last year.
Cervantes Alvarez was taken into custody without incident, and booked in the Buena Vista County Jail on a ten thousand dollar bond. The Buena Vista County Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.
