Weather conditions late last week led to a high risk of fire danger, as Red Flag Warnings were issued around the area on Friday and Saturday.

Due to expected high temperatures, high wind, and low relative humidity, the National Weather Service has now issued Red Flag Warnings tomorrow (Tues) afternoon and evening for counties including Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Ida, and O’Brien. Any fires that develop during that time will likely spread quickly. Outdoor burning is NOT recommended.
