The Storm Lake City Council on Monday approved a special event permit for a series of car meets later this year.
The events will be hosted by Dominic Klaschen of Cherokee. He said the goal is to bring people together to help build a good reputation for the car community…

Excessive engine revving, alcohol, burnouts, and littering won’t be allowed at the events. A total of 27 meets will be held at the Discovery Center parking area, mostly in the summer months on Fridays from 4 to 7pm.
